Fishing from the banal way to get fish turned into a real industry, designed to give enthusiastic people a great mood. At once we can say that it is divided into float, spinning, feeder, carp, catfish and this is only about freshwater species. And each of them - for its own subspecies. As an adept of spinning, I will speak for him.

Spinning can be on a bait, jig, wobblers; to catch ultralight, light; catch perch, pike, pike perch - well, you understand. Within this, there are various rigging and types of postings. And for all this, different types of rods are developed.

Let's talk about the jig. In this type of fishing, the classic jig heads, collapsible sinkers and spaced attachments (the most popular among us are the diversion leash and drop shot). What is the reason for such diversity? As a rule, a desire to try something new. After all, all of them work remarkably well, and the choice of a particular fisherman depends, in most cases, only on his personal sympathies towards one or the other equipment. And what about the minority? Let me give you an example from my practice. The main reservoir of my region is the Desna river. I really like to rest and fish on it - fishing on it can be very diverse, and I'm just talking about spinning. The river in different seasons manifests itself in different ways, each of these manifestations requires a special approach and if it was found correctly - you will be satisfied. Considering each of these options, you can write a whole monograph, so let's talk only about the summer jig.

Desna is a river with a good current. What options do we have in this case?

1) Mikrodzhig. We can nem it, which is called "underfoot" because if you throw the bait far perpendicular to the shore, it simply does not reach the bottom and it will be carried down by the current. Extraction method, if the fish walks near the shore.

2) Rigging up to 12-15 grams. Here the situation will be better, but you will be constrained in the choice of postings - only dragging along the bottom with possible light explosions. Otherwise, the bait will again very quickly hit the shore.

3) Jig in the range of 25-30 grams. This is really a long-range option, which will reach the far reaches and will allow them to catch them with the help of all sorts of stepped and even postings. This is the most popular option in our area. Count in this case it is possible to catch pike, pike perch and large perch. But, unfortunately, these representatives of ichthyofauna are often passive, and their population is not very numerical in general, so fish need not just be tempted to bite - it needs to be found elementary.

Practically trouble-free generator of positive emotions - perch of medium size - weighing 100-200 grams. It remains only to get it. The problem is that he can also stand at a sufficient distance from the shore, but he prefers to peck at small baits 2.5 - 5 cm. Throwing such miniature baits with a "core" of 30 grams is not the best idea. The result is still unlikely to please. The branch leash is better, but it will still be woven by the current, and you can not affect it in any way. Of course, this method has many fans, but I write about my experience, so we go further. My choice is drop shot. With this equipment, the bait remains under your maximum possible control, but at the same time it is not burdened with a heavy load around itself. The game of bait turns out to be natural and attractive. Drop shot on the river with a good current is, perhaps, the only way to get a small, almost always hungry perch, at a great distance from the shore. The load of 20-30 grams is securely held in place, and at that time you can animate the bait with the tip of the spinning. I have for these purposes a WFT Ghostrider Dropshot rod with a test of 3-30 grams and a length of 2.10 meters. His system allows you to easily throw a snap on the upper test range and conduct wiring in the manner of a nano-jig - a delicate animation by the tip of the spinning of miniature worms and slugs in almost one place. This allows you to thoroughly grasp a promising local area, for example, shell bottom, and get an excellent result from this.

But that does not mean that I urge you to flee to the store. First try the tackle that you already have. Any spinning with a test of 10-30 grams will be enough. If you get the result, then take this kind of spinning. With him the result and the pleasure of catching will be even higher and this rod will definitely not be idle.

Thank you for attention.
